Does Stress Make You Overeat? Here's How You Can Stop It!

Sometimes our weight loss journey can be slowed down because of our emotions. Stress is a great example of this. Have you ever felt like no matter how much you eat, you're always hungry?

Before quitting your diet, think about this: what's causing these cravings? Is it something in my personal life? Maybe my hormones? These are some of the most common causes of overeating:

1. Stress. This is caused by an increase in your cortisol levels. This is a necessary hormone in the right amount but sometimes, external factors can increase it and in consequence, stress appears.

2. Certain emotional triggers, just like boredom. Try to keep your mind busy with some healthy activities, like workouts or personal developments (read a book, take courses, journaling...)

3. Other hormone imbalances. Since stress is caused by the cortisol hormone, as I mentioned before, there are other hormones that can make you crave. The best way to keep them balanced is taking natural supplements/adaptogens, just like ashwagandha. This is a powerful herb that helps you reduce stress levels and anxiety

I already mentioned some ways to improve your mood and balance your hormones. But the most important thing here is HAVING FUN in the process. Don't rush, don't push too hard. Take rest, sleep, and enjoy your life!
