5 Secrets for Wearing Makeup to the Gym Without Smudging

Someone once asked me if I wear makeup to the gym… The answer is: Yes, I do!!!

However, some of us girls sweat a lot more than others. Depending on the products you use, this can lead to smudging or eye-burning if it gets into your eyes. 

Let me share with you a really fast makeup routine that lasts all day long and doesn’t smudge. Even for girls, who like me, have acne prone skin! 

My eye makeup products don’t burn my eyes at all. They don’t smudge and they last through my entire workout. 


  1. I don’t use foundations. Instead I use BB or CC tinted creams (ideally mineral based). My fave is Jane Iredale.

  2. For under your eyes look for an anti-aging concealer. Something waterproof to avoid creasing. IT cosmetics is my to-go choice for this.

  3. Choose an eyeliner that is smudge and sweat-proof. It’s up to you if you prefer an eyeliner pencil or liquid eyeliner. I personally use Mia Adora’s Overcomer eyeliner, because it’s eyelash extension safe! 

  4. Same for mascara. Look out for one that’s sweat-proof and doesn’t smudge. 

  5. Last but not least, I use a contouring stick on my face and lips, like the one from Fenty Beauty.
